Jonathan Shore
Jonathan Shore’s got his hands all over the film and TV world—like, seriously, the guy’s name pops up in over 250 projects. He’s Vice-President of Distribution and Post Production over at Brightlight Pictures, juggling deals and wrangling post-production chaos like it’s just another Tuesday. If you’ve seen Marc Forster’s *I STILL SEE YOU*, or belted out a tune watching *PITCH PERFECT 1 & 2*, or laughed through *MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 2*, yep, that’s Shore in the credits. Even the animated crowd-pleaser *MY LITTLE PONY*—he’s got a piece of that action too.
He’s worked alongside some pretty big fish in Hollywood—Joel Schumacher, Robert Redford, and acting royalty like Sir Ben Kingsley, Anne Hathaway, and Blake Lively. The guy’s basically a film industry Swiss Army knife: he produces, he distributes, he mentors, and apparently, he talks shop so well that he’s always in demand as a speaker for anything movie-related.
Shore isn’t just about the glitz, though. He helped found the Vancouver Post Alliance, throws support behind the Whistler Film Festival, and actually spends time mentoring up-and-coming filmmakers, which is honestly refreshing in this business. Hailing from Montreal, he studied commerce at McGill—fancy, right?—and he’s fluent in both English and French, so he can probably negotiate your contract and then order lunch in either language. Now he calls Vancouver home, hanging out with his wife and two daughters when he’s not busy shaping the next big thing in film.
