Paul Ben-Victor’s got one of those faces you just know—you’ve seen him in something, probably a dozen somethings, and he’s one of those rare actors who actually makes everything he’s in a little bit better. Four decades in the game, and he’s still popping up everywhere: stage, film, TV, you name it. Remember Spiros Vondas from The Wire? Yeah, that was him, doing the whole Greek mobster thing so well it kinda messed with your head. People call The Wire the greatest series ever, and honestly, his performance is a huge part of that. He’s worked with some legends, too. Martin Scorsese, Tony Scott, Antoine Fuqua, Steven Zaillian, Clint Eastwood—like, are you kidding? He’s shown up in The Irishman with Pacino, did Plane with Gerard Butler, went toe-to-toe with Will Smith in Emancipation, and that’s just scratching the surface. The guy’s got stories for days. He’s been in The Banker with Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie, had some fun with Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell in Get Hard, plus squared off with Robert De Niro and Stallone in Grudge Match. He’s even in classics like Tombstone and True Romance. It’s wild. TV? He’s everywhere. Entourage fans know him as Alan Gray, and he was in True Detective with McConaughey. He’s popped up in Pam and Tommy, The Lincoln Lawyer, Raising Kanan, Bookie, The Chosen—and that’s just the recent stuff. Go back further and you’ll see him in NYPD Blue, Will & Grace, Santa Clarita Diet, Preacher… honestly, just too many to list. Oh, and don’t forget his killer turn as Moe Howard in The Three Stooges biopic. He’s also done legit stage work—Broadway, Seattle Rep, Longwharf. The guy just doesn’t quit.
