Brad Krevoy

Brad Krevoy’s been hustling in Hollywood for decades—like, since VHS tapes were still a thing. He kicked off Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), which churns out movies for all kinds of studios, from the big dogs to the indie crowd. The guy’s fingerprints are all over over 100 films and TV projects. Seriously, if you haven’t seen at least one, you probably don’t watch movies. MPCA hit the ground running with comedies and genre flicks, but they didn’t stop there—remaking foreign hits for English-speaking crowds became one of their moves. Krevoy’s got a knack for spotting talent before anyone else—think the Farrelly brothers (yeah, the Dumb and Dumber guys), Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Reese Witherspoon, Will Ferrell, Jude Law, Sarah Jessica Parker… the list is wild. Blockbusters? He’s got them. Dumb and Dumber? That’s him. Kingpin, Beverly Hills Ninja, Jungle 2 Jungle, and Threesome, which, on a modest budget, made indie film history with its profits. Not just comedies either—he tackled action with Linewatch (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and drama with Taking Chance (Kevin Bacon), which cleaned up at awards shows and broke records on HBO. He’s still at it, cranking out movies with stars like Samuel L. Jackson. Krevoy’s also big on giving back—working with charities, sitting on art school boards, and dropping knowledge at film fests. Oh, and he’s a Stanford grad, if you’re keeping score. The dude’s a Hollywood lifer with receipts to prove it.
