Born and raised in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh—her dad, Satyendra Sengar, is basically a poetry legend, and her mom, Dr. Sarita Parihar, could probably write you under the table and then teach you about it at uni. With that kind of background, it’s almost wild she even tried the corporate world for a minute. But yeah, she started out doing some modeling and theater gigs while still grinding away at college in Bhopal. Didn’t take her long to ditch the 9-to-5 in Indore and pack her bags for Mumbai. Amazon Prime’s “Hush Hush,” Hotstar’s “Taaza Khabar,” Netflix’s “Mamla Legal Hai”—the girl’s got range and isn’t shy about showing it off. Plus, if you’re into indie stuff, you might’ve caught her in “Logout” at the Indian film festival circuit. Oh, and don’t even get started on her voice work. She’s dubbed for the Hindi versions of titles like “Premalu” (as Reenu), “Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” (as Cara), and “The Lonely Planet” (as Lily Kemp), among others. Basically, if you’re watching something and think, “Hang on, that voice sounds familiar,” there’s a solid chance it’s her. She’s out there, making waves, and honestly, with her background, it’s not really a surprise. Some folks just have that creative spark baked in from the start.
