Stuart Ford

Stuart Ford, yeah, he’s basically a heavyweight in the indie film and TV world. Born in the UK, schooled at Oxford, and then he went all-in on Hollywood. Guy started out as an entertainment lawyer, did his time at Miramax, then just casually launched IM Global in 2007. Over the next decade, he built that thing into one of the biggest independent studios out there—think production, finance, talent management, PR, the whole nine yards, with offices pretty much everywhere: the US, India, Latin America, you name it. Then in 2018, he kicked off AGC Studios, which has this whole “super-indie” vibe—big projects, global reach, money from Silicon Valley, Latin America, even the Middle East. Over 45 major productions so far. And the directors he’s worked with? Just a who’s who: Scorsese, Ron Howard, Mel Gibson, Roland Emmerich, Tom Ford, and a bunch more. He’s produced or exec produced more than seventy films and shows, and pulled together over $2 billion in independent financing. Not exactly pocket change. Ford’s also pushed for international cinema like crazy—Latin American, Chinese, Bollywood stuff, plus some heavyweight Arabic-language films. He’s racked up awards from Variety and The Guardian, and his studio AGC TV dropped “Those About To Die” with a whopping $165 million budget. Dude’s in the Academy, BAFTA, and keeps landing on those “most influential” lists. Basically, if there’s a big indie film deal going down, odds are, Ford’s fingerprints are all over it.
