Emilio Ferrari
Emilio Ferrari’s been hustling in the film game for decades, stacking up more credits than most people can count on their fingers and toes. Dude’s name pops up all over the place—producing, directing, you name it. He’s not just floating around Hollywood, either; he’s run a handful of his own companies (Allied Entertainment Group, A Plus Entertainment, Entertainment 7, Syndicate Media Group—try keeping those straight after a long night out) and together, they’ve cranked out more than forty films and TV shows.
What really blows my mind is the film library he controls—over a thousand titles, plus something like four thousand hours of TV. That’s a lot of late-night binge material. The guy’s a licensing machine, dealing out classics all over the globe. Seriously, if you’ve seen a movie from the past few decades, there’s a non-zero chance Ferrari had a hand in it. And the talent? It’s a who’s who: Jack Nicholson, Halle Berry, Bruce Willis, Steve McQueen, Sharon Stone, Richard Gere, Helen Hunt, Tim Curry. The list just keeps going, like some kind of crazy Oscar party guest list.
Ferrari’s not boxed in by geography, either. Offices everywhere—Switzerland, London, Vancouver, Rome, LA. The man’s a citizen of the world, double passport and all. He’s basically living in airports, bouncing from Berlin to Cannes to Venice to Toronto for all the big film markets and festivals. If there’s a deal to be made or a film to be pushed, odds are Ferrari’s already there, shaking hands and making things happen.
