Silvio Guindane jumped into acting when he was just a kid—11 years old, landing his first big gig in “Como Nascem os Anjos” (1996). That role? Total game-changer. It snagged him a bunch of awards, including the famous “Kikito” from the Gramado festival and a “Candango” at Brasília. After that, he basically never left the scene. You can spot him everywhere in Brazilian cinema, working with a whole lineup of legendary directors. Carlos Diegues cast him in “Orfeu” (1999), “O Maior Amor do Mundo” (2006), and “5x Favela: Agora por Nós Mesmos” (2010). He’s teamed up with Ricardo Elias on “De Passagem” (2003), Sergio Bianchi for “Quanto Vale ou É por Quilo?” (2005) and “Jogo das Decapitações” (2013), Sandra Werneck on “Sonhos Roubados” (2009), and Sergio Rezende for “Em Nome da Lei” (2016). The dude’s been everywhere. But it’s not just movies—Silvio’s all over TV too. He’s popped up on Rede Globo, Record TV, Multishow, Fox Brasil, Fox Latin America, and TV Cultura. He’s also worked with Futura Channel and the Roberto Marinho Foundation on projects like “Escola Legal,” “Alô Vídeo Escola,” “Energia,” and “Globo Ciência.” If you’re into cable, you might’ve caught him in Multishow hits like “Acerto de Contas” (2014), “Open Bar” (2010), or the comedy “Vai que Cola” (2013). Over at FOX, he showed up in “1 Contra Todos” (2016). And let’s not forget theater—Silvio’s a total workhorse on stage, not just acting but writing and directing too.
