Bhanupratap Singh
Bhanupratap Singh, just 25, is one of those guys who went from the chaos of Delhi’s Jahangirpuri straight to the Mumbai stage lights. His family's got their roots in Sarthouli village, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, but Bhanupratap? He’s all about the city life now, hustling in Mumbai and chasing that acting dream. He did his graduation from MJP Rohilkhand University in Bareilly—yeah, he’s got the degree, but honestly, it’s the theatre that really lit a fire in him.
Back in 2015, he kicked things off with Kabeera Group Theatre in Mumbai, learning the ropes under Shahid Kabeer Sir. The guy didn’t just stop there—he went for those hardcore workshops at NSD and Bharatendu Natya Akademi, soaking up every bit of stagecraft he could.
You might’ve caught his performances in plays like Pahele Aap, Gadhe Ki Barat, Ghar Wapsi, Andha Yug, Godan, Malechh, Virasat, or Rangili Bhagmati—if you’re into theatre, that is. But he’s also dipped his toes in Bollywood, working as a production assistant on big music videos like "Lut Gaye" (Emraan Hashmi), "Dil Hai Diwana" (Arjun Kapoor & Rakul Preet), and "Yaariyan 2" song "Saure Ghar."
His short films, "An Open Door" and "Safed Kala," didn't just go unnoticed—they nabbed awards both in India and abroad. TV folks will spot him from serials like Swarajya Rakshak Sambha Ji Raje, Jiji Maa, Muskan, Pandya Store, Meri Bhavya Life, and yes, he made a splash in Panchayat too. Lately, he’s been in "Azaad" and rumor has it, he’s teaming up with Bobby Deol in an Anurag Kashyap flick next. Not bad for a small-town guy, right?
