Martin Moszkowicz

Martin Moszkowicz, born in 1958, didn’t waste much time messing around before diving into the film business. He knocked out his studies at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, wrapped things up by 1980, then just jumped straight into the chaos of movie making. Production manager, line producer, actual producer—you name it, he did it, and not just in one place but all over the globe. Talk about getting around. By 1985, he was already pulling double duty as producer and general manager at M+P Film GmbH in Munich, which probably meant his phone never stopped ringing. Then in ’91, he shifted gears to Constantin Film Produktion GmbH, bringing his mix of experience and, honestly, probably a bit of that German stubbornness. By ’96, he’d taken on even more, acting as general manager—because apparently one job at a time is too easy. He kept juggling those roles right up until 1999, when Constantin Film went public. That’s a pretty big deal in this business, and he just kept rolling, joining the Executive Board and sticking around ever since. The guy’s fingerprints are on a ridiculous number of films and TV shows, across all sorts of genres. Whether it’s cult favorites, big-budget blockbusters, or stuff you accidentally catch late at night, odds are he’s had a hand in it somewhere. Kind of wild how one guy can shape so much of what ends up on screen.
