Seana Kofoed

Seana Kofoed grew up around Chicago and, yeah, she’s got the Midwest grit to prove it. She headed off to Northwestern, and then hopped across the pond to the Royal National Theatre in London—so, not exactly slouching in the education department. She kicked off her stage life back home, performing at iconic joints like The Goodman, The Court, and Victory Gardens. After getting her feet wet in Chicago, she packed up for New York, chasing that Broadway dream. In NYC, Kofoed didn’t just blend into the crowd. She snagged roles on and off Broadway—think “Proof” with Jennifer Jason Leigh, then “Night Must Fall” with Matthew Broderick. Off-Broadway, she made her mark with spots at the Manhattan Theatre Club, Atlantic Theatre Company, and MCC. And get this, she even landed a Drama Desk Nom for her work in “An Experiment with an Air Pump.” Not too shabby, right? Once LA called her name, she dove into TV, racking up guest spots and recurring roles all over the place. She even locked in as a series regular on “Men in Trees” and “American Princess.” But she’s not just about being on screen—she’s got writing chops, too. Kofoed wrote and produced “30 Miles from Nowhere,” which got props for a diverse, gender-balanced crew. She also wrote and starred in “Together Apart” with her husband, Jason Antoon, and “Donna’s Revenge: Confessions of an Ex-Contestant,” a comedy poking fun at reality TV aftermath. Talk about wearing a lot of hats.
