Taz Skylar
Taz is one of those rare talents who seems to do it all—writer, actor, producer, you name it. Nominated for an Olivier Award (yeah, that’s kind of a big deal), he’s got roots that stretch from the sun-soaked Canary Islands all the way to the Middle East and Britain. Seriously, the guy’s family tree is basically a world map.
He first crashed onto the big screen as Dawes in “The Kill Team,” working with Dan Krauss, who’s already bagged a couple of Oscar nominations. That’s no small feat for a debut. As for the stage, Taz dove in as Miles in #Warheads at The Park Theatre in London, which, if you know the London theatre scene, is pretty legendary. He didn’t stop there, though—he took on the West End, stepping into Leonard Vole’s shoes in Agatha Christie’s “Witness For The Prosecution.” That’s a role with some serious history behind it, but Taz wasn’t just filling in—he made it his own.
You get the sense there’s this restless energy to him, this urge to constantly push into new territory. Maybe it’s the blend of cultures, or maybe the guy just doesn’t like sitting still. Whatever it is, he’s not just following the beaten path—he’s busy blazing his own. The industry’s definitely watching to see what wild thing he’s going to do next.
