Harris Dickinson
Harris Dickinson’s one of those guys who just kind of snuck up on the film world—blink and suddenly, he’s everywhere. Born and raised in London, he jumped into acting headfirst as a teen, carving out his chops at Raw Academy. Not exactly your average after-school activity, right? By 2014, he found himself performing Pauline McLynn’s ‘Angels’ at the National Theatre on the Southbank, which is a pretty wild gig for someone that young. The guy clearly doesn’t do things by halves. And while most people would’ve been content just acting, Dickinson’s over here writing and directing his own short film before he could legally rent a car. Someone actually funded him, too, which says a lot about his early promise.
Fast forward a bit, and his name starts buzzing around—especially after his breakout in ‘Beach Rats’ back in 2017. In that film, he played a Brooklyn teen tangled up in all sorts of messy, coming-of-age drama. Dickinson didn’t just play the part; he basically lived it on screen, giving a performance that critics couldn’t stop talking about. You watch it and think, “Yeah, this guy’s got that raw, restless energy you can’t fake.” And honestly, his career’s just been stacking up since then—one of those actors who seems to pick roles with actual teeth. Whether he’s in front of the camera or behind it, Dickinson brings this no-nonsense, magnetic vibe that just doesn’t let up.
