During the last week of fashion month, I remember thinking, “Millions of girls would give their lives for this cause.” But I didn’t think that way. I dream of Fai Khadra’s career: professional lover of the Kardashian-Jenners, 2.2 million followers and a permanent front-bench seat at Saint Laurent. Nobody knows what Khadra does for a living — desktop beautifier/shoe designer/amazing Instagram artist — but she has an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time.
Khadra was one of the few invited to the Hotel Particulier in Paris last night, where Rosalía celebrated her 32nd birthday in full vaquera look. Instead of a bouquet of calla lilies filled with cigarettes – like the one he sent to Charli XCX in August – the musician received a rose stolen from the hotel room by Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid and carried very carefully through Montmartre. Both were dressed with a romantic sense of fashion: Jenner wore an almost transparent Alexander McQueen column, and Hadid wore a dress that looked to be worn inside out.
Here’s an incomplete list of attendees: Ayra Star, Anya Taylor-Joy, Amelia Gray, Bud Gill, Camila Cabello, Hunter Schafer, Irina Shayk and Willow Smith. Kylie Jenner was spotted arriving late wearing a belt and matching flared skirt while holding hands with her best friend Anastasia Karanikolaou. Of course, it helps that most of Rosalía’s friends are in town for Paris Fashion Week, but I wonder if she’s also looking for a professional plus-one.
