Love is a wonderful thing, especially when you look at it from the outside. In this column, we take a look at those celebrity couples (or sometimes friendship couples) who give us hope for our romantic future and try to learn everything there is to know about their highly publicized relationships.
It seems like just yesterday I was romanticizing Bears star and Calvin Klein uber-hunk Jeremy Allen White sharing a cigarette with singer Rosalia flirting, but the Hollywood romance mill is running at lightning speed. Now, White has been spotted kissing actress Molly Gordon, which is not a scene from Bears in which they both star, but a moment of spontaneous passion in real life. Is it possible that White and Rosalia are still together? Sure – non-monogamy is a well-known thing – but I think the White/Gordon pairing was inevitable! We all loved their off-screen chemistry as romantic interests, and while Gordon may have earned some new haters for being a slightly more patient Claire, I’m definitely not one of them. Sue me!
I’ve been a huge fan of Molly Gordon—Gordonite? Gordonista?—ever since I saw Emma Seligman in her 2020 film Shiva Baby with Rachel Sennott, my obsession deeply reinvigorated by 2023’s Theater Camp, a funny and touching film about an Adirondack performing arts camp, a mockumentary that follows Gordon, 28, co-directing and starring as a nerdy, clog-wearing music teacher named Rebecca Diane. (The image of Ben Platt entering the room looking for Gordon’s character and yelling “Bex-d?” will probably never leave my mind.) I have to admit I like White, though I’m pretty sure her first move will be to force her to throw away the two packets of American Spirits she’s holding in the group photo. (I don’t know, I just get that “I’ll make you quit smoking” energy from her, but that’s not a criticism; annoying girlfriends save lungs and lives!)
While it’s unclear when White and Gordon’s romance began, White divorced ex-wife actress Addison Timlin in May 2023 and dated model Ashley Moore before being spotted in Los Angeles and briefly keeping up with Rosalia. You could accuse him of moving too fast, but is that really a bad thing? (Don’t forget, I’m pro-divorce, so in many cases, but not all, I’m automatically pro-divorce.) Gordon had reportedly dated her theater camp co-director Nick Lieberman (who is Nick Lieberman dating) for a while, but honestly, even my CIA-level celebrity romance Google search abilities couldn’t reveal much about their romance. But why shouldn’t Gordon start her A-list dating career with a bedroom star and popular guy like White? Drama girls win!
