Mark Hopkins

Mark’s been hustling in the film and TV world for, what, almost two decades now? The guy started out grinding as an Assistant Director and Production Manager—definitely not the kind of gigs you just breeze through. Over the years, he’s racked up some pretty wild credits. We're talking big stuff: ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ (the one with all the British spy intrigue), both of those adorable ‘Paddington’ movies—yeah, the bear in the duffle coat—and then he dove straight into the wild fantasy scene with ‘The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.’ Oh, and let’s not forget ‘Cruella’—gotta love a villain origin story. But Mark doesn’t just stick to the blockbusters. The guy’s produced a bunch of short films that actually matter. ‘That Night,’ from Chris Foggin, made the cut at the London Film Festival (not exactly easy to do), and ‘Shield 5,’ with Anthony Wilcox at the helm, scooped up awards at Raindance. That’s the kind of stuff that gets people talking. He’s also got some co-producing cred with ‘Kids in Love’—Chris Foggin again, with Will Poulter and Cara Delevingne thrown in for good measure—working for Ealing Studios. Most recently, Mark’s been busy with ‘The Toll,’ directed by Ryan Andrew Hooper and starring Michael Smiley and Iwan Rheon, backing it for Western Edge Pictures. Basically, the dude’s got range. He’s everywhere, from family fare to dark dramas, always pushing something new into the world.
