Aiden Call
Aiden Call’s kind of all over the place—in the best way possible. He’s this Dallas guy who started out behind the news desk, running the show at LISD’s “The LEAD” and then jumping around as a reporter and afternoon DJ at KNTU 88.1. You can tell he’s got that news junkie energy, but honestly, it didn’t take long before he was itching for the spotlight instead of just talking about it. So, he made the move to acting, first popping up on YouTube in this little web series “Origin”—nothing huge, but hey, everyone starts somewhere.
He’s the English voice of Louis Scarrel in “The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl,” which, if you’re into anime, you probably know. He also voices Jin Rohan in “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy.” Not just a voice, though—he’s shown up in a bunch of DFW indie films and even directed his own award-winning short, “End of the Line,” back in 2020. Word is, he’s got more projects cooking with Surge Filmz, the production company he co-owns.
2024 was wild for Aiden because he jumped on with Crunchyroll—the big dog in anime streaming. Suddenly, his voice is popping up in “My Hero Academia,” “One Piece,” “Black Butler,” and, honestly, a bunch of other stuff. The dude’s everywhere. He’s one of those people who seems to just collect new hats: actor, director, DJ, producer. Makes you wonder when he sleeps.
