Alba Ribas
Alba Ribas, born in Barcelona back in '88, pretty much dove into the arts as a teenager. She was bouncing between schools in Barcelona and Madrid, soaking up acting lessons, dance, you name it—just full-on creative mode. By 18, she’d already landed her first major movie role in “Diario de una ninfómana,” which, honestly, is a wild way to kick off a film career. That film was directed by Christian Molina, and yeah, it stirred up a fair bit of conversation at the time.
After that, Ribas didn’t slow down. She jumped into the horror scene with “XP3D” and then took on “El cadáver de Anna Fritz,” which, if you haven’t seen it, is this unsettling thriller that really sticks with you. Not exactly popcorn flicks, but she’s got range, no doubt.
More recently, she showed up in “100 metros,” a film that’s got a whole different vibe—think inspirational, a bit of humor, and some real heartfelt moments. On the TV side, Alba’s been a familiar face. She was in “El Barco,” which was a huge hit in Spain, and then there’s “Cites,” a romantic dramedy series, and “El Ministerio del Tiempo,” which plays around with time travel and history; it’s pretty clever, honestly.
She’s got this versatility—one minute she’s in an intense drama, next she’s making you laugh or freak out. Kind of wild how she can jump between genres and just own the screen.
