David Leitch

David Leitch is, well, kind of a legend in the action movie scene. The dude’s worn more hats than most people even own—director, stuntman, actor, producer, you name it. He kicked things off by teaming up with Chad Stahelski to co-create the John Wick franchise back in 2014. Yep, he had his fingerprints all over that slick, bullet-drenched universe, working as a producer and helping launch what’s now basically the gold standard for modern action flicks. Leitch didn’t stop there, not even close. He rolled right into directing Atomic Blonde in 2017, and if you’ve seen Charlize Theron in that, you’ll know he’s got a knack for making people look both ridiculously cool and dangerous at the same time. Then came Deadpool 2 in 2018, which—let’s be real—absolutely crushed it at the box office and made critics surprisingly happy for a sequel. Not every director can juggle that kind of humor and violence without making a mess, but Leitch somehow nails it. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw? Yeah, that’s his, too. The guy knows how to make cars explode and muscles flex in ways you didn’t even know were possible. On top of all that, he’s been the go-to stunt double for Brad Pitt five times. Brad freakin’ Pitt. And he’s doubled for Matt Damon, including in The Bourne Ultimatum, which is basically an Olympic event disguised as a movie. Leitch doesn’t just direct action—he literally lives it.
