Maddie Hasson
Maddie Hasson’s got this knack for diving headfirst into wild, unpredictable roles. Most folks probably know her as Henry Coles from YouTube Premium’s “Impulse,” which, honestly, is a total trip. The show’s based on Steven Gould’s “Jumper” series, and Maddie’s character, a small-town teen, stumbles into teleportation powers—like, one minute she’s somewhere, next minute, whoosh, she’s gone. Season one dropped back in June 2018, grabbed people’s attention, and YouTube wasted no time greenlighting a second season, which hit in October the next year. Before all that, Maddie had already made waves in TV, landing a main role in ABC Family’s “Twisted,” plus popping up in “Mr. Mercedes” and “The Finder.”
On the movie front, she’s not slowing down. She’s starring in “Malignant,” a horror flick with James Wan (yeah, the dude behind “The Conjuring”) at the helm, and it’s getting the big studio rollout from New Line and Warner Bros. She’s also got “Fixation” lined up—a psychological thriller led by director Mercedes Bryce Morgan. Maddie’s film resume is all over the map, from “We Summon the Darkness” to indie gems like “A Light Beneath Their Feet,” “I Saw the Light,” and even a short directed by Josh Hutcherson called “Ape.”
She grew up dancing in North Carolina, snagged a scholarship to Broadway Dance Theatre thanks to Mia Michaels, and later moved into theater with the Opera House Theatre Company. These days, she’s based in LA, still hustling and making bold choices on screen.
