William McAllister
Will McAllister’s that kind of guy who just can’t sit still. Born and bred in Salt Lake City, he’s dipped his toes in pretty much everything—acting, writing, producing, directing, you name it. Kicked off his acting gigs in the 2000s, then just switched lanes and started teaching special ed out in the sticks of Utah. Not your usual Hollywood story, huh? He was popping up in all sorts of local shorts before he went full DIY and made his own film, 'Bear Heimlich', in 2012. That one was based on a play by Ginny Anderson, and honestly, it set the tone for his future stuff—quirky, heartfelt, a bit oddball.
Same year, he’s in the classroom again, but this time teaching film at East Hollywood High School. That’s where he ran into Joshua Wagner. Those two hit it off and started churning out all kinds of film and video shorts together. In 2013, Will starred in and produced 'Paradise High', a web-series Wagner directed. Fast forward to 2016, and he dropped 'The Benevolent Boys', a short that’s basically a love letter to his own misfit teenage years—think four nerdy teens using 90s internet tricks to get back at their high school bully. Two years later, he’s co-directing 'Worst Prom Ever' with Wagner. These days, Will’s still juggling teaching and filmmaking in Utah—always pushing for stories that feel real, a little wild, and full of heart. The guy just keeps the creative chaos rolling.
