Dr. Alicia Oberle Farmer’s a bit of a powerhouse, honestly. She’s racked up some serious cred as a director, producer, and actress—people probably know her best from films like Rite of the Shaman (2022), Algea: God of Pain (2022), City of Salt (2020), He Never Left (2024), and there’s The Witch of Wander Lane on the horizon too. Ask anyone who’s worked with her, and they’ll tell you: she’s got this almost obsessive eye for detail, always chasing that “every frame a painting” vibe. Not everyone can pull that off, but she makes it look easy. On the acting side, she’s sort of become the go-to scream queen—like, if there’s a movie monster on the loose, odds are she’s not making it to the final scene (eight on-screen deaths and counting). Beyond the camera, she runs Zepstone International Film & Music Awards and Zepstone Arts Festival, so she’s not just in it for herself—she genuinely lifts up other artists. Originally from Salt Lake City, Farmer’s been in the entertainment game since she was eleven, starting as a cover model before jumping headfirst into film. She’s got the academic chops too: a BA in English, a Master’s and a PhD in Education. Not bad, right? She’s always been about pushing herself, racking up awards since she was a kid (she snagged a DAR Citizenship Award at 12, no big deal). She founded Zepstone Media back in 2016 and has been championing indie filmmakers, musicians, and visual artists worldwide ever since. The arts scene’s definitely better with her in it.
