Paul Weller
So, this guy’s got five kids—three daughters, Leah, Dylan, Jesamine, and two sons, Nathaniel and Stevie. There’s this wild story about his name, too. Right after he was born, his mom got hit with polio in her throat, and in the middle of her delirium, she just blurted out “John” for his name. Later on, she changed her mind and started calling him Paul, but, weirdly enough, nobody ever got around to making it official. So, technically, he’s still John on paper, but everyone just goes with Paul.
Back in ‘76, he kicked off his music career with a bang, playing guitar and singing lead for The Jam. Those guys were seriously everywhere on the punk and mod revival scene. Fast-forward to ‘83, and he switched gears, teaming up with Mick Talbot to form The Style Council. They leaned way more into soul and jazz vibes, totally different from The Jam’s raw energy. The band kept rolling until their label pulled the plug on their last album—corporate nonsense, as usual. Not really one to mope around, he jumped right into a solo career in 1990, carving out his own spot and never really looking back. Honestly, his story’s got more twists than most soap operas, and the guy’s still out there, doing his thing.
