MacKenzie Hill
MacKenzie’s the real deal when it comes to Hollywood hustle. She pretty much eats, sleeps, and breathes entertainment, and honestly? You can tell. She kicked things off in the chaotic world of post-production, tinkering with every weird TV format thrown her way—think game shows, think scripted sitcoms, whatever. She’s the type who wants to know how the sausage gets made, so she dove deep, learned the ropes, and then—boom—switched lanes into production. There, she got her hands dirty on mega-hits like New Girl (yes, Zooey Deschanel’s adorkable face) and The Grinder with Rob Lowe hanging around set. Not exactly shabby.
Then, because apparently sleep is overrated, she started running her own production company in LA. We’re talking everything from line producing to shaping the creative vision, pulling in big-name gigs with Netflix, HBO, Showtime, TBS, Funny or Die—seriously, the list goes on. MacKenzie’s worked with a smorgasbord of A-list talent, juggling projects that’d make most people’s heads spin. Even when things slow down (which, let’s be real, is probably never), she’s still helping out with development and pitching new ideas to whoever will listen.
Just this past year, she co-produced Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj (yep, the Peabody winner), wrangled an HBO comedy special with Yvonne Orji, and handled post on A24’s Emmy-winning At Home with Amy Sedaris. Like, come on. Most recently? She’s been directing splashy promo spots for Disney Pixar’s Soul, with Tina Fey, Questlove, and Phylicia Rashad in the mix. Honestly, if you want something done in TV or film, MacKenzie’s probably already three steps ahead.
