Mike Chapman
Mike’s the guy behind Blue Finch Films, which he kicked off in 2018. He’s got a real knack for picking out films that actually make a splash—stuff that’s not afraid to take risks or shake things up at festivals. His resume’s stacked: he’s repped the Blumhouse-backed “Soft+Quiet” (which is about as subtle as a punch in the gut, in the best way), “Raging Grace” that snagged some serious recognition at SXSW, and “Deadstream”—critics ate that one up. These aren’t your typical, forgettable flicks. Blue Finch goes for the bold, the weird, the ones you talk about after the credits roll.
Before he started his own thing, Mike was elbows-deep in acquisitions and sales at Kaleidoscope. This wasn’t some low-key gig either—he worked on a wild mix of titles. We’re talking Joss Whedon's take on “Much Ado About Nothing” (yes, Shakespeare but make it hip), Alice Lowe’s “Prevenge” (pregnant woman on a revenge spree, darkly hilarious), and Bobcat Goldthwait’s “Willow Creek” (Bigfoot horror, but not as silly as it sounds). The guy’s got range. He knows what’s going to hit, whether it’s cult horror, indie comedy, or just something offbeat enough to stick in your brain. That’s kind of his whole deal: finding the stuff that doesn’t just blend in.
