Born in 1958 to a working-class family—dad was the caretaker, mom handled numbers as an accounts clerk—this guy wasn’t exactly handed a golden ticket. Still, he hustled his way into Anna Scher’s Children’s Theatre School over in London, which, let’s be real, is pretty much the breeding ground for all sorts of wild British talent.
