Storyline
Robin’s just 11, but she and her crew—aka The Hoods—have transformed a scrappy chunk of wild land at the end of their street into their own private kingdom. We’re talking epic stick battles, drone “eagles,” and the kind of imagination adults totally forget about. There’s even a so-called witch lurking in the woods (she’s probably just a hippie, but hey, legends gotta start somewhere). Then this slick developer, Clipboard, rolls in and starts buttering up the parents with talk of fancy spas and daycare. Next thing you know, the grown-ups are drooling over blueprints, and the kids’ patch of wild freedom is on the chopping block. The Hoods try to rally the adults—protests, impassioned speeches, the works—but it’s like shouting into a void. So Robin and her friends ditch the hopeless “ask permission” routine and launch into full-on defense mode. Their kingdom’s at stake, and these kids aren’t about to let it go without a fight.
