Storyline
Back in 1824, Manjulika gets burned alive by a Maharaja, but she’s not the type to rest in peace. Instead, she comes back, hell-bent on revenge, and ends up haunting this massive old palace. Fast forward two centuries—Ruhan, who scams people as “Rooh Baba,” is invited by Meera and her uncle to check out their supposedly haunted palace (for a fat paycheck, obviously). Turns out, the family’s so scared of Manjulika’s ghost, they’re living in a cowshed, broke and desperate. The locals act super weird around Ruhan, and the head priest drops the bomb that Ruhan is actually the reincarnation of their old king, who got killed by his own sister, Manjulika. Every year, the villagers burn Manjulika’s statue for some peace of mind, but this year, things get wild when Mallika, claiming to be a historian, finds a secret passage. The priest warns them not to mess with it till Durga Ashtami, but curiosity wins. They open it, chaos follows, and it’s revealed the king had two jealous sisters—so who was the real Manjulika? Suddenly, Mandira shows up, ready to unleash more terror.
