Storyline
Wang Tiemei, a single mom played by Song Jia, is having a rough time. She’s lost her job, had to move, and ends up neighbors with Xiaoye, played by Zhong Chuxi. On the surface, Xiaoye’s all sunshine, but that’s just a mask—she’s got her own storm brewing inside. The two women become unlikely friends, leaning on each other as they navigate their own messes. Meanwhile, Wang’s ex-husband (Zhao Youting) keeps popping up just to make things harder, and there’s this drummer teacher (Zhang Yu) in her daughter’s life who might be shaking things up in ways Wang didn’t expect. It’s not all drama, though—there’s growth and a bit of hope, as both women try to figure out who they are and what they want. They’re outsiders, dealing with love, heartbreak, and the little surprises life throws at them, all while finding their footing in a place that doesn’t quite feel like home.
