Storyline
James used to think he had it all figured out—husband, dad, king of his little castle. Now? He’s unemployed, making school lunches, and feeling like a background character in his own life while Sarah, his wife, climbs the corporate food chain with this relentless, almost blinding ambition. Their marriage is showing cracks, big ones, and James can’t shake off the feeling that his own dreams just fizzled out somewhere along the way. He scrolls through job boards, gets rejection after rejection, and starts questioning if he’s even worth anything outside of being a stay-at-home dad. Meanwhile, Sarah’s barely home, always in meetings, chasing deadlines, and the distance between them just keeps growing. James tries to reconnect with old passions, desperate to prove to himself—and maybe to Sarah—that he’s still got something to offer. It’s messy, real, and kind of heartbreaking, watching a guy try to reclaim a sense of purpose as his whole world flips upside down.
