Storyline
Yuri’s whole life, everyone’s warned her about the ochi—those mysterious, kinda spooky creatures lurking where the trees get too thick for sunlight. Supposedly, they're monsters. Stay away, keep your head down, that sort of thing. But then she stumbles on this scrappy little ochi baby, abandoned, shivering, and honestly, looking more lost than scary. Against all the warnings echoing in her head, Yuri scoops it up and, just like that, her world flips. nnShe decides—maybe foolishly, maybe bravely—to trek right into the wild heart of the forest, dodging things her parents would’ve fainted over, all to return the baby ochi to its family. The deeper she goes, the messier things get. Weird sounds, shifting shadows, thorns that seem to reach out for her ankles… it’s not a stroll, let’s say. But along the way, Yuri realizes the ochi aren’t monsters at all. Actually, they’re just as scared of humans as she was of them. By the end, Yuri isn’t just a girl who braved the woods; she’s someone who gets what it means to care for the wild things—fear, courage, and all.
