Storyline
Oscar François de Jarjayes, born into a noble family but raised as a boy, struts through the gold-dipped halls of Versailles dressed like a dashing officer while secretly carrying the grace of a woman. There’s Marie Antoinette—fresh from Austria, barely out of childhood, suddenly queen of France and way in over her head. Oscar’s got André Grandier tagging along, a loyal friend from way back, just a regular guy stuck in the whirlwind of the upper crust. Then, of course, you’ve got Count Fersen—Swedish, charming, way too good-looking for anyone’s good. All their lives get tangled up in love, loyalty, jealousy, and a ridiculous amount of court drama as the Revolution starts creeping in, threatening to blow everything to pieces. Everyone’s clinging to what matters most, dancing on the edge while the old world falls apart around them. It’s messy, tragic, and oddly beautiful—nobody really gets out unscathed. No fairy tale endings here, just a front-row seat to history’s chaos.
