Storyline
Word of Shivaji Maharaj’s death hits the Mughal court and Aurangzeb practically throws a party, thinking this is the end of the Marathas. Everyone’s chilling, smug, acting like they’ve got it all locked down. Except—plot twist—it’s just the calm before the chaos. Out of nowhere, Sambhaji Maharaj, Shivaji’s son, storms Burhanpur, a major Mughal stronghold, and turns it to dust. Aurangzeb suddenly realizes, yeah, Shivaji might be gone, but his fire’s alive and kicking in his son. While Sambhaji gets a hero’s welcome from his wife Yesubai, his stepmom Soyrabai is busy scheming, hoping to put her own son Rajaram on the throne. Meanwhile, Aurangzeb’s fuming and vows not to wear his crown again until Sambhaji is crushed—he’s out for blood in Maharashtra. Sambhaji, tipped off about Soyrabai’s betrayal by none other than Akbar (Aurangzeb’s own son!), promises to protect him from the Mughals. Every time, Sambhaji makes the Mughals eat dirt, while Aurangzeb, old and obsessed, still dreams of ruling.
