Damon Intrabartolo

Damon Intrabartolo wasn’t just some guy tinkering with a keyboard in his bedroom—he actually studied music composition at USC School of Music, which is kind of a big deal. He’s got serious theater chops too, like that wild success with "bare: a pop opera," which pretty much swept up awards left and right in L.A. Not to mention his work on "Ann E. Wrecksick & the Odyssey of the Bulimic Orphans," which hit the Los Angeles stage in summer 2003 and turned more than a few heads. There’s even more brewing—he had a musical called "Plop" in the pipeline, set to premiere in L.A. in the fall of 2005. Damon didn’t just work solo, either. He co-founded God Help! Productions, an L.A.-based group that’s always got some creative chaos going on. When he wasn’t busy with theater, he was knee-deep in composing an opera about Harvey Milk and Cleve Jones. And if you thought he was all about the stage, nah—not even close. Damon started working in film music when he was just 20. His orchestration and conducting credits? They read like a playlist of late-night cable: "X-Men 2", "Gothika", "The Usual Suspects", "The Cable Guy", "Snow White: A Tale of Terror", "Halloween H20", "Pumpkin", "Bubble Boy", "Trapped", "Eight Legged Freaks", and he even worked on the 1999 Emmy-nominated score for ABC’s "Fantasy Island". Oh, and he dropped two songs onto the "Urban Legends" soundtrack. Damon also composed the original score for Dustin Lance Black’s award-winning film "The Journey of Jared Price", and you can actually spot him—wide-angle lens and all—in Black’s doc "On The Bus." The guy’s everywhere, seriously.
