Erik Stolhanske—you probably know him best as Officer Rabbit from Super Troopers (yeah, THAT movie with the shenanigans and mustaches), but honestly, that’s just scratching the surface. The dude’s everywhere in comedy, both in front of and behind the camera. He’s one of the OGs in Broken Lizard, that wild comedy group responsible for cult favorites like Beerfest, Club Dread, and The Slammin' Salmon. If you’ve laughed at a Broken Lizard flick, odds are you’ve watched him get weird on screen. He’s not some one-trick pony, either. Stolhanske’s written, produced, and starred in all their movies. He’s shared scenes with people like Brian Cox, Rob Lowe, and even Bill Paxton—so yeah, it’s not just fart jokes and beer pong. Guy’s worked with comedy legends like Jim Gaffigan and Will Forte too, which is just showing off at this point. Back in the day, Broken Lizard got their start with a short film called Tinfoil Monkey Agenda (weird title, right?), which basically set them on the path to making full-length movies. Their first big one, Puddle Cruiser, was filmed at Colgate University and actually won some festival awards—so they’re not just goofing around. Then came Super Troopers, which blew up at Sundance and landed them a deal with Fox Searchlight. After that, Club Dread and Beerfest kept the party rolling, each with Stolhanske front and center, playing some of the most lovable idiots you’ll ever see. If you love offbeat, ridiculous comedy, you’ve definitely seen his work, even if you didn’t realize it.
