Taane C/O Srirampura drops you smack in the middle of Bengaluru’s chaos, where every street corner tells a hundred stories, and most of them are just weird enough to be true. The film revolves around Taane, who’s not exactly your typical hero material. He’s rough around the edges, stubborn as a mule, kind of a smart-mouth, and stuck with a past that refuses to mind its own business. Srirampura isn’t the kind of neighborhood that lets you keep secrets, either—everybody’s in everybody’s business, half the time just for the drama.
Anyway, Taane gets tangled up in a mess that starts out looking small, but you know how it goes—one bad decision, and suddenly he’s neck-deep, dodging cops, rival gangs, and nosy aunties on their evening walks. There’s a bit of a cat-and-mouse vibe, with Taane trying to clear his name while the whole world seems out to trip him up. But he’s got grit, plus a couple of ride-or-die friends who’d probably follow him into hell, or at least into a police station.
The film’s got moments that’ll make you laugh, some that hit way too close to home, and a few twists that’ll catch you off guard, even if you think you’ve seen it all before. It’s noisy, messy, sometimes hilarious, sometimes brutal—just like the city itself. And through it all, Taane’s just trying to figure out where he fits in, or if he ever really did.
