Harinakshi Rao
Taane C/O Srirampura (2025) drops you right into the thick of everyday chaos in a corner of Bengaluru that feels both familiar and totally unique. Harinakshi Rao stars in a story that’s not afraid to get its hands dirty—think tangled family drama, old wounds, new crushes, and that stubborn hope that just won’t quit. The whole thing orbits around Taane, a character who doesn’t always get life right (who does?), but man, she tries. One minute she’s dodging nosy neighbors and bickering with relatives, next minute she’s caught up in some absurd neighborhood hustle that only Srirampura could invent.
Rao nails the role, balancing sarcasm and vulnerability like she’s been living in Taane’s skin forever. There’s a real sense of the city pulsing in the background—rickshaw horns, gossiping aunties, the occasional street dog. The movie doesn’t sugarcoat stuff: heartbreak lands hard, mistakes get messy, but there’s always a bit of dark humor peeking through. Friends come and go, but Srirampura itself is the constant, stubbornly weird and full of oddball charm. Through all the ups and downs, Taane keeps chasing some kind of meaning—or maybe just a break from the madness. Either way, it’s a slice of life you can’t help but root for, flaws and all.
