Storyline
Joanna Bathory used to be a star in the fencing world, but now she’s pretty much stuck in the shadow of her own failures, clinging to a shot at Olympic redemption. Everyone’s on her back—her husband, her coach—pushing her toward greatness she’s not even sure she wants anymore. Then along comes this weird, high-tech gadget, a prototype that lets her train while she sleeps. Like, literally, her body’s out cold in bed but her mind’s still out there, dueling, sweating, chasing medals. By day, she’s a tightly-wound athlete on the piste. By night, she’s fencing in her dreams—except those dreams start to feel a little too real. Suddenly, she meets a mysterious stranger in this dreamscape, and things get freaky fast. Her waking life and dream world start bleeding into each other, and Joanna’s left questioning what’s real, what’s just her brain messing with her, and whether she’s actually chasing her own dreams or just running from reality she can’t stand. It’s trippy, unsettling, and kind of gutsy.
