After years of experimentation, Sabrina Carpenter has finally perfected her signature beauty look. “Glowy skin, dramatic lips, rosy cheeks and wavy lashes,” the 25-year-old singer told me. It couldn’t have come at a better time—Carpenter had just finished the first week of a 29-city concert tour. “I try to keep it simple, fresh and natural so it looks like I’m wearing makeup, not like the makeup is making me.”

It’s been a big year for the 5-foot-tall Carpenter — she dropped the single “Espresso” after opening for Taylor Swift on the Singapore and Australian legs of the Eras tour, officially kicking off the “pop girl summer” phenomenon. Then there’s her surprise appearance at Askem World in Paris, as well as her sixth studio album, Short N’ Sweet, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and has already launched two iconic sex singles — “Please, Please, Please.” and “Taste”. The accompanying music videos, which have a total of 184 million views and feature significant others from Carpenter’s real life, have one more thing in common: Before getting into the fun, the singer always wears a silver tube with a bottle of Prada Beauty in it. They appear on screen together. To some, it’s just a beautiful product from the movie. But to Carpenter, it’s an Easter egg that heralds some big news announced today: Prada Beauty and Carpenter are officially collaborating.

“It’s been so fun to give my fans some tips,” Carpenter said. “My music videos are a labor of love, so I like to incorporate elements that feel authentic to me and add to the overall story. One of the reasons I’m excited about collaborating with Prada Beauty on this product is that their products emphasize some of my favorite features and provide the perfect amount of glamour, making me feel feminine but still sophisticated.”

Carpenter’s obsession with the brand was first documented in June’s Please, Please, Please, when the blonde found herself out of jail — and someone paid her bail! “I had to think, ‘Well, what product do I have on me all the time that I’m actually going to take to jail?'” Carpenter mused that the first time I was introduced to the Prada blue balm was undoubtedly in the episode “The Prada Blue Balm,” where she pays a little attention to it before she makes eye contact with her love interest Barry Keoghan in the film and trouble begins.

In “Test,” Carpenter applies lipstick before battling scream queen Jenna Ortega for her man (spoiler alert: the lipstick stays on, but the boyfriend doesn’t). “I like to get my glam on before the rest of the action starts [in this video],” Carpenter said. “I knew I wanted to wear my current favorite lipstick, Prada Monochrome in Tonka.”

As the tour progressed, Carpenter took Prada Beauty with her. So far, her signature purple-pink lips have made appearances in Columbus, Ohio, and Toronto, and more guest appearances are to come. “I’ve been a fan of Prada for years,” she said. “I recently got a sneak peek of some of their new products and I’m excited about the future.”
