Aamani
Aamani, straight outta Bengaluru, has seriously rocked the Telugu film scene over the years. She first showed up as a leading lady in "Jamba Lakidi Pamba" back in ‘92, opposite Naresh, and honestly, she hasn’t looked back since. That movie was a massive hit, and let’s just say, it put her on everyone’s radar—like, “who’s THAT?” kind of radar. But she didn’t just stop at Telugu films. Nope, she dipped her toes into Tamil and Kannada movies too, sharing the screen with some absolute legends—think Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, and a bunch more.
Early in her career, she took up smaller parts in films like "Aadadhi" and "Chandamama Kathalu," but it didn’t take long for her to snag the spotlight. People started noticing her range and, let’s be real, the awards followed. She bagged two Nandi Awards and a Filmfare Award South (not an easy feat, by the way). Her performance in "Mister Pellam" (directed by Bapu), was next level—the film even won a National Award. The ‘90s were pretty much her playground, with hits like "Amma Donga," "Vamshanikokkadu," "Subha Lagnam," and more.
Then she took a bit of a break, but made a solid comeback with "Aa Naluguru." Lately, she’s been popping up in interesting roles—like playing Kartikeya’s mom in "Chaavu Kaburu Challaga" (2021), and a money lender in "Muthyamantha Muddu." Plus, she even showed up as a guest on "Drama Juniors." Decades later, she’s still got it—talented, versatile, and honestly, just a total icon.
