Alex Walker
Born and bred in Auckland, Alex basically grew up with a spotlight on him. Dude’s been acting since, like, forever—probably before he could even tie his own shoes. He sharpened his craft at Unitec’s School of Performing and Screen Arts, which is sort of the local HQ if you’re serious about acting in New Zealand. You may have caught him on screen in “Heart Eyes” (total heartthrob vibes), or maybe “One Lane Bridge,” where things get a bit darker and weirder. He’s also popped up in “Power Rangers”—yeah, the show that refuses to die and somehow keeps getting cooler with every reboot—plus “One Of Us Is Lying” and the beloved NZ staple, “Shortland Street.” The guy’s resume is stacked, honestly.
But don’t get it twisted—he’s not just hanging out in front of the camera. Alex has been all over the theatre scene in Aotearoa, scoring roles in some heavy-hitters like “Once On Chunuk Bair”—if you’re into historical drama, that’s your jam—along with “Kings of the Gym,” which is basically a love letter to Kiwi high-school shenanigans. He’s also tackled Samuel Beckett’s “Play” (super weird but also kind of genius) and jumped into the musical madness of “1958: The Musical.” Basically, Alex isn’t the type to stay in one lane; he’s got range for days, and you never really know what kind of role he’ll crush next.
