Allan Kayser
Born smack in the middle of December 1963, Allan Kayser hails from Littleton, Colorado—a place that doesn’t exactly scream “Hollywood,” but hey, it worked for him. If you’re a fan of cult classics or old-school sitcoms, his face probably rings a bell. He crashed onto the scene back in the ‘80s, most memorably as Bubba Higgins on “Mama’s Family.” Seriously, that role? Instant legend status for anyone who grew up glued to TV reruns.
But Kayser didn’t just fade into the sitcom sunset. Nope. He showed up in the gloriously goofy horror flick “Night of the Creeps” in 1986, where he got to play in the world of zombies and alien brain parasites (as one does in the ‘80s). Fast-forward a couple decades, and he’s still at it, popping up in indie horror like “House of Forbidden Secrets” in 2013, proving he’s got some serious sticking power in the biz.
On the personal side, Allan’s led a pretty regular life, all things considered. He tied the knot with Sara Kayser in August of 2014, and they’ve got two kids together, which probably keeps him busier than any film set ever could. Before Sara, he was married to Lori Kayser—life happens, right? All told, he’s one of those actors who might not be splashed across magazine covers, but he’s carved out a solid career and stuck to his roots. Not bad for a guy from Colorado.
