Amin Sadraei

Amin Sadraei grew up in the wild, vibrant chaos of Tehran, carving out a name for himself in the indie film world since 2015. The guy’s been everywhere on set—editing, directing, producing—you name it. He’s not one of those one-trick ponies, either. The man wears a lot of hats and wears them well. His biggest flex has to be co-producing The Seed of The Sacred Fig (2024), a film that went all the way to Cannes, grabbed the Special Jury Prize, and got people whispering about Oscar gold. Not just that, it landed him nods at BAFTA, EFA, and BIFA. Not exactly a slow climb, right? And it’s not a fluke—his track record is nuts. There’s There Is No Evil (2020), which straight-up snatched the Golden Bear at Berlinale. Then In the Land of Brothers (2024), which got the Best Director Award at Sundance. And those are just the features. He’s got a knack for shorts, too. Tattoo (2019) picked up a Crystal Bear at Berlinale, and White Winged Horse (2020) got a special mention there as well. The guy moves between projects and genres like he’s changing playlists—never stuck, always shifting gears.
