Anandhi, honestly, she’s kind of a chameleon in Tamil and Telugu cinema—just popping up in all sorts of films and nailing her roles. She kicked things off with Bus Stop back in 2012, and people really took notice. After that, she had these small parts in Priyathama Neevachata Kusalama and Naayak, but you could already tell she had something going on. By 2014, she was doing a bit of everything, like Green Signal, and then just straight-up leading in Poriyaalan and Kayal. For Kayal, she actually had to audition twice (imagine the nerves), but it totally paid off—she snagged the Special Jury Award for Best Actress at the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. Not too shabby, right? Fast forward to 2015, and Anandhi's everywhere: teaming up with Atharvaa Murali in Chandi Veeran, then going all-in with G.V. Prakash Kumar for Trisha Illana Nayanthara—yeah, that wild adult comedy—and even popping up in Visaaranai. She kept the G.V. Prakash collab rolling with Enakku Innoru Per Irukku and Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru in 2016. 2017 wasn’t any slower—she had Rubaai, Pandigai, and En Aaloda Seruppa Kaanom. But the one that really had people talking was Pariyerum Perumal in 2018, which just smashed it with critics and won a bunch of awards for its take on caste discrimination. Then came Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu in 2019 (another hit), and she even dipped her toes into Malayalam cinema with Yugi in 2022.
