Annie Korzen

Annie Korzen, believe it or not, has become a TikTok legend—yep, we’re talking 15 million Likes kind of legend. Born in the Bronx, bounced to the Upper West Side, then made the big leap out to L.A. So, classic New York to Hollywood pipeline, right? She’s a Bard College grad, which maybe explains her artsy streak. Annie’s not just hanging out online, either; she’s played her solo shows on three continents—little bit of a global vibe going on. She’s even run workshops about writing personal essays, hitting places like The Writers Guild and Emerson College, so she’s got the teaching chops too. Oh, and speaking of stories, Annie’s toured the U.S. with The Moth Mainstage—if you’re into true storytelling, you’ve probably caught her online. She’s married to Benni Korzen, who’s got his own thing going as a Danish film producer. She doesn’t stop there, though. Annie’s cranked out funny essays for NPR’s Morning Edition, The New York Times, LA Times… the woman writes everywhere. She’s written a couple of books—“Bargain Junkie: Living the Good Life on the Cheap” and “The Book of Annie: Humor, Heart and Chutzpah from an Accidental Influencer.” If you’ve ever seen her on Oprah, or Dr. Phil, or Tavis Smiley, yeah, that’s her. These days, she’s the Artist-in-Residence at The Braid Theatre Company, still popping up as a speaker or emcee for all kinds of events. The hustle never stops.
