Bethany Brown’s been pretty much everywhere lately—if you’ve caught Buzzfeed and Lionsgate’s F***, Marry, Kill, or CBC’s Plan B, you’ve seen her in action. She’s hopped around TV too, popping up on The CW’s Wild Cards, NBC’s The Irrational, and CBS’s Watson. Not her first rodeo—she’s done her time on The Good Doctor, Charmed, The 100, and The Flash too. 2024’s been wild for her short film Meet Me en Rêve. She didn’t just direct it—she produced, composed the music, the whole nine yards. It picked up Best Indie Short at the LA Movie and Music Video Awards, and Best LGBTQ Short at both Paris International Short Film Fest and Markham. Plus, it got a stack of nominations at Seattle and New York fests—cinematography, original song, lead actress, you name it. The buzz is real; she’s getting noticed for telling stories that actually mean something. Awards? Oh yeah—two Leo nominations in 2023 (one for acting in A Christmas to Savour, another for her animated work in The Supernatural Academy). She even co-hosted the Leos, twice. Back in 2022, she snagged Best Supporting Actress in Paris and Best Actor at Symbiotic and IndieX for her work in Gnaw. Voice work, music, live stage—she’s done it all. And don’t sleep on her music: her kids’ project The Treebees blew up on YouTube, racking up millions of views and even landing Grammy and Juno noms. Bethany grew up on a 100-acre farm in BC—milking cows, riding horses, the whole farm kid thing—before heading to Vancouver for soccer and, eventually, the arts. She’s got range, hustle, and a knack for making every project count.
