Brielle Robillard
Brielle Robillard’s got one foot in New York and the other in Canada, and she’s been busy making waves on both sides of the border. People started really noticing her with Place of Bones—that film where she shares the screen with Heather Graham and Tom Hopper. Not your average indie flick either, it actually hit theaters all over North America, which, let’s be honest, doesn’t happen to every film these days.
Before all that, she showed up in The Holiday Shift on Roku—another lead, because apparently, that’s just her thing now. She even played Young Kay Carroway in The Blind, which, again, made it to the big screen, not just some streaming corner. And she’s not slowing down, because soon you’ll see her pop up in Butterfly on a Wheel, Trevor Morris’ first shot as a director, hanging out with Curran Walters and Michael Provost.
If you’re more of a series binge-watcher, you might’ve spotted her in The Lake on Amazon Prime—she snagged a supporting role for two seasons, so she’s got some decent screen time there. Plus, she’s done the rounds on Canadian TV: Murdoch Mysteries, The Silencing, Nurses, Endlings. Basically, if you’re flipping channels up north, her face probably looks familiar.
Her career kicked off early, starring in YTV’s Zoink’d, and she didn’t waste time snagging leads, like in the short film Withheld. That one didn’t just disappear into the festival void either—it actually grabbed the Best Canadian Short Work Award at Whistler, with the jury calling her a “rising star to watch.” No kidding.
