Carl Beyer

Carl Beyer’s got one of those careers that just zigzags all over the map—in the best way possible. Grew up way out in Northwestern Wyoming, so, you know, the kind of place where you learn grit just by looking out the window. He took that grit with him to Montana State, grabbed a degree, and then dove headfirst into Hollywood. Started at the bottom, classic office assistant gig for Taylor Hackford—yeah, that Taylor Hackford. Not exactly dull. Next thing you know, he’s running around sets as a PA, getting his hands dirty, learning the ropes, probably drinking way too much bad coffee. Didn’t stay stuck in the grind, though. By ’94, he’s jetting off to produce commercials—not just for the U.S., but all over Europe and Japan. That’s serious hustle. Carl’s not just a commercials guy either. He’s had his hands in all sorts of projects: features, concert films, reality TV... you name it. Formats? He covers the whole spectrum—IMAX, Circle Vision, HFS, good old stop motion. Dude doesn’t shy away from a challenge, clearly. Over 150 commercials under his belt—national, international, you get the point. As for home base, he’s sort of a bi-coastal West Coast guy these days, splitting time between California and Washington State. He can even work local in Portland, which is handy if you know anything about film logistics. All in all, Carl’s the guy you want in your corner when you’re wrangling a wild project, no matter where or what it is.
