Carter Boehm’s basically the guy you want on your film set if you’re looking for someone who knows their way around both the creative and business ends of moviemaking. He kicked off his career after studying film and TV over at Montana State—so, not just some Hollywood transplant, but a dude who actually put in the work. The man’s had gigs as a sound mixer and audio tech in some wild places, too—think the White House and the Pentagon. Not your average resume, right? Back in 2015, Carter decided to run his own show and started Ponderosa Films, which, fun fact, is a bit of a tribute to his dad’s old film company. The whole thing’s set up in Vienna, Virginia (yeah, not LA—go figure), but that didn’t stop him from making moves. He jumped in as executive producer for a bunch of films, including “Robert the Bruce,” which came out in 2019 and had Jared Harris starring. The guy’s got his name on other westerns and thrillers, too—like “Terror on the Prairie” and “Murder at Yellowstone City.” And if you thought he stopped at just producing, nope. He went all-in on building out the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana, basically giving filmmakers a legit western backlot to play with. Even when he’s not on set, Carter’s all about keeping up with what’s hot in the entertainment world, always looking for the next big thing. Seriously, the dude’s got his hands in everything—total film industry lifer.
