Charlene Amoia
Charlene Amoia’s story kicks off in Buffalo, New York, before she packed her bags for Las Vegas at 15. That’s already a wild ride for a teenager, right? Eventually, she made the classic leap to Los Angeles—because, honestly, where else do you go if you’re chasing the Hollywood dream? She didn’t just sit around hoping for roles to fall from the sky, either. Charlene hustled through modeling gigs and commercials, showing up everywhere before most people even knew her name.
But then came “How I Met Your Mother.” She was only supposed to pop in for a single episode as Wendy the waitress, but people loved her so much that she became a regular face. That’s the dream—turning a one-off into a recurring gig just because you nailed it.
Charlene didn’t stop there, though. She jumped into movies, landing parts in big titles like “Seven Pounds” with Will Smith and “American Reunion” hanging with Jason Biggs and the gang. She was in “Birds of Prey” too, playing the young Huntress’s mom alongside Margot Robbie. Oh, and don’t forget “The Conjuring 3” with horror legends Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. The woman’s got range.
On TV, you might’ve spotted her as Dr. Kate Lachman on “Grey’s Anatomy.” She also grabbed the spotlight in the indie flick “Fat,” which made waves at the Toronto International Film Festival. Most recently, she showed up as Bessica in the season finale of Matt LeBlanc’s “Man with a Plan.” Basically, Charlene Amoia’s been everywhere—always leveling up, never slowing down.
