Cherami Leigh
Cherami Leigh Kuehn, born July 19, 1988, is an American actress and voice artist who’s basically been working since, well, forever. She started acting at six years old—talk about an early start—then dove into Meisner technique with Nancy Chartier by nine. As a kid, she showed up in all sorts of stuff: Gretchen in Finding North, Marcia in Temple Grandin, played young LeAnn Rimes in Holiday in Your Heart, and Stacy Anderson in The President’s Man. Oh, and she popped up more than once on Walker, Texas Ranger. Can’t miss her.
Fast forward a bit, she played Kim in Fast Food Nation. Later on, in 2014, she managed to snag the lead in Shane Dawson’s Not Cool. But if you’re into anime or video games, chances are you’ve heard her voice without even knowing it. She’s Sae Kashiwagi in Peach Girl, Cecily Campbell in The Sacred Blacksmith, Tamaki Kawazoe in Bamboo Blade, Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail, Patty Thompson in Soul Eater, and Asuna Yuuki in Sword Art Online. Busy much?
She’s a Texas girl—Hebron High School in Carrollton, then studied theater at Collin College in Plano. Besides acting, she spent a decade as a DJ at Radio Disney and did a ton of voice-over work for ABC Radio. Moved to LA in 2013 to keep at it, voice acting and picking up live-action gigs too. Oh, and she married Jon Christie (another actor) in 2014, after dating since 2010.
